Because I looked for my way in life, and eventually I found it.
So I can’t escape anymore, and I don’t know the end.
Such as a sound and its memory that can’t be split.
Such as a melody and its words that are facing eternity.
And all this always stays in your mind.
Because you don’t know why it is so.

Paul & Louise write songs where lyrics (mainly French) question music and music answers. The words and melodies coming out of their voices and their guitars are entwined. Their songs are born of memories, but they are promises too. Their writing tradition is neither French nor Anglo-Saxon, because they think in French, but they dream in English, dreams set in the British countryside, or American landscapes... That’s why there are such poetic French lyrics in Paul & Louise’s songs, tinged with folk, pop and country colours. But the final result is one and only: Paul & Louise! Dear friends! Your music and words are like you!
