Delila was born into a family of musical aficionados; her father, an accomplished piano player, even once had Ray Charles and Marvin Gaye round for dinner. Growing up, Sophie was influenced by a lot of blues, jazz and classical music and early on she fell in love with Stevie Wonder as well as the Beatles. She began playing the piano at age 5 and within a few years was racing home from school to write songs 
and record in her father’s home studio.

 So it’s not surprising that at 18 she won a scholarship to the revered Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. After a successful time there, she hit the New York City soul scene for a couple of years before moving to London in 2005 to take her career to the next level. Lured by London’s explosive music scene, Delila wrote, gigged and produced and in 2008 Delila landed a record deal with Universal. 

 Her highly anticipated debut album, Hooked was co-written and co-produced with Sophie by Steve Booker, the man behind much of Duffy’s multi million selling album Rockferry. 
 Whilst working on her first album, Delila became increasingly sought after for artistic collaborations. Throughout 2009 she was one of the lead singers in the critically acclaimed band Nouvelle Vague, featuring on their last album as well as their live European tour (including their Royal Albert Hall performance). She opened for one of her childhood heroes, Lionel Richie, at the Bercy Stadium last year, and more recently has been seen singing live with Plan B on Radio 1Xtra’s Live Lounge as well as Taratata, which is France’s equivalent of "Later… with Jools Holland". 
The singer is also in demand in the fashion community, with the iconic French label Hermes enlisting Delila to help bring the brand to a younger, more hip generation. A key project tying in with this is a concert on the Liberty Music Stage at the Carnaby Street Festival. This preceeds appearances at UK music festivals including Rockness and supporting Jamiroquai in March 2011.

The foot stomps of a shoe-gazed salty air meets the tight groove and polished shake of the night with each of the duo’s multi-layered tracks. And with the recent release of their third album on Galaxia, Feeling Hands, audiences around the globe are witnessing the growth of two musicians hitting full stride with deft layering, detailed composition and an altogether unmistakable sound. His 2005 release, "In Full View", also on Galaxia, featured guest appearances by drummers Doug Scharin and Carlos de la Garza. Barbee plays guitar, bass guitar, drums, harp and xylophone (as well as skating professionally for Vans, Element, Independent and WeSC!). In March 2007, Ray Barbee recorded in Japan with the Mattson 2. That recording became "Ray Barbee Meets The Mattson 2", a collaboration melding the guitar/drums of the Mattson 2 with Ray Barbee playing additional guitar. When playing live together, Ray sometimes assumes a dual bass line/lead role (both on his guitar) during the set. Ray's music blends electronic textures with elements of jazz, Latin and post-rock experimentation. The music has a free-flowing feeling that results largely from group improvisation, yet the compositions come across as cool and sophisticated. Always interested in music, Tommy was a fan of the high-energy punk music that surrounded the early-'80s skate scene. Since, he has become an accomplished bassist and guitarist with influences as diverse as John Coltrane, Latin Playboys, and Tortoise. He mixes a variety of jazz, ambient, and hip-hop styles to create a very soulful and chilled vibe Guerrero released his debut album, "Loose Grooves & Bastard Blues", in 1998 on the Galaxia label. To support the record, Guerrero turned to his friends, skateboarder and bassist Monte Vallier, DJ Gadget, and former Threeo drummer Tim DeGaugh to form the band Jet Black Crayon, who toured with Isotope 217 in 1999. With help from Gadget, he released "Hoy Yen Ass'n" in 2000, as well as the solo record "A Little Bit of Somethin" on Mo' Wax. His warm, soulful music continued on 2004's "Soul Food Taqueria", and after a five-song EP "Year of the Monkey", Guerrero moved to Quannum, issuing "From the Soil to the Soul" in 2006. Another record on the Galaxia imprint, "Return of the Bastard", followed in 2008.
